So I finally cracked open my Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Up! Blendabilities™ Markers, the first two sets I wanted from the get go.
Although I don’t have the Old Olive Set (yet) it is just fine to use regular Stampin’ Write Markers as well. The first thing you will notice, with these new markers, is how easy they are to work with; after all the final product is supposed to look like a rich toned watercolour not a graphic design – perfection is not the point. I know I used to like colouring when I was a kid well I think this gives a chance to relive this again.
The Bloom with Hope is a beautiful stamp design and the eleven piece set is available as a Hostess stamp and qualifying party. This set was my first choice to use with the Blendabilities™. This close-up shows how each shade of the colour blends are done; I used one of the Crumb Cake markers to add a shadow to give the design some depth. All the same I will try again with one of the other flowers in this set as I’m sure I’ll only get better at this over time.
Here is the finished card that I gave to my mom when I visited her a few weeks ago. I think she liked it, the only thing I have to remember is to use stamps with larger type.
